It’s time for practical jokers everywhere to dig deep into their bag of tricks because April Fool’s Day is here again! We spent the last 364 day’s perfecting this year’s practical jokes and wanted to share a few of our favorites with you.
That’s a Wrap
If you have extra time on your hands (and saran wrap), wrap your friend’s car in clear saran wrap until it is completely wrapped bumper to bumper. Start with the rear-view mirrors and continue around the car. See the video below for further explanation. This prank is sure to leave you both in tears, unless your friend has somewhere important to be, like work.

Have a Ball
The next time you’re at Walmart, the Dollar Tree, or similar discount store, buy several inflatable beach balls (and an air pump) to inflate and fill your loved one’s car with. This prank is perfect if they have a small, compact car, like a Honda Civic or Toyota Prius. You can also use golf balls, basketballs, soccer balls, volleyballs, softballs and balls made for a ball pit, etc. Matt Lauer set-up Ellen DeGeneres last year using ping pong balls.

The Classic Coffee Cup
If you don’t have time to prank a friend, this idea was made just for you (and everyone around you). Gather a disposable, empty coffee cup and car-safe tape or magnet and attach the coffee cup to the roof of your car. You’ll have everyone honking, waving and doing whatever they can to get your attention. Enjoy it and install a dash cam if you can.

Car “FOR SALE”
This is another great economical and hilarious prank to pull on a close friend or family member. Write your friend’s phone number and a price that can’t be resisted on a “FOR SALE” sign and hang the sign on the back windshield of the car while they’re at work or away on vacation.
Use a jar of Vaseline to grease your friend’s door handle, steering wheel and gear shift. They’ll think the joke is over until they get into the car and attempt to use either the gear shift or steering wheel. Don’t forget to set up a dash cam or camera close by and provide a few baby wipes to clean up the mess before they hit the road.
